Social Injustices in SJBDLS time as administrator from 1679 (start of 1st school) - 1719 (death)
due to poverty, many children did not have access to education (Fecker, Greenwood, Harrigan, 2010)
- they could not read or write using Latin, the language used in education. French, the local language was not used.
