This means including FSL poetry among the FSL learning materials developed by the CEAD Deaf Heritage and Deaf Life Stories project.<br><br>\nThrough FSL Poetry, Deaf individuals can express their unique identity, culture, and experience. It is also a way for them to learn FSL grammar, syntax and idioms as it demonstrates a complex visual language that enables the Deaf to communicate. In addition, FSL poetry provides Deaf children with work that represents their voice and affirms their worth as individuals and as part of a community whose narrative must be protected, nurtured and celebrated.<br><br>\nCEAD applauds KWF, particularly their commissioners and their FSL unit team, for promoting FSL poetry in its contest and championing and preserving Filipino Deaf literature in their work.<br><br>\nThe awarding ceremony was held on April 17, 2024, at the Sheraton Manila Hotel, Pasay City. Joining the winners were Dx. Rafa Domingo, CEAD Unit Head of Deaf Heritage and Filipino Sign Language Studies and Maricris Galang, Team Leader of Deaf Heritage and Deaf Life Stories project.<br><br>\nCEAD advances the academic success of Filipino Deaf Learners through Deaf-centered education, research, linguistics, and innovation.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
