VCA Rallies DCBE-FDP Participants
“Teach Deaf Students Soon!”

On his visit to the DCBE-FDP special session with Deaf Teacher Certificate Program on Basic Introduction on Lesson Planning, Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Lacson, encouraged the TCP participants to confidently envision that they will soon be teaching Deaf learners.

VCA Lacson spoke further with the TCP participants, 98% of whom are Benilde-SDEAS alumni, after meeting the facilitator, Dr. Chris Kurz.

Uncertain at first, the TCP participants replied back with greater resolve to the VCA’s words and confidently signed, “Yes, we will pass and get our license and teach the Deaf now!”

DCBE-FDP is a six-module diploma course that updates Deaf educators and researchers on bilingual education strategies and its current implementation across subjects.

The special session of the DCBE-FDP was held in lieu of the March 18 class. Sessions run until July 2024.
